book #2 of 2011

Considering it was a short book, it took me quite awhile to read. But I was reading two at a time so I guess it's to be expected. Anyway, does anyone know if the Gladys Aylward Orphanage (at Taipeh in Formosa) actually existed? and if it did, does it still? Because near the end of this book it seems to get into a bit of a biography.

So last year I decided to start keeping track of the books I read. I had a goal of 50. I didn't make it. I did start reading quite a few that I didn't finish. But anyway, you can see last years book list as well as this years here.
This year I've also decided that if I can't pronounce a word, I've never heard of it, or don't know (or can't remember) what it means, I'm going to keep a list of them with definition and pronunciation. I've read the 1st book and over half way through the 2nd and 3rd books but I've decided to start it now anyway. and you can see that here.
